Lesley Clumeck discovered a way to merge her love for painting with her passion for glass while conceiving her series, “Strung Out”. She created a technique that allows glass to mirror thick, textured paint dripping. Each piece is created exclusively with 100% kilnfired glass. This series exhibits the exploration of depth and dimension through nuances used to create a duality that allows the perception of fluidity to appear frozen in time. The glass stringers used, along with the title, “Strung Out” lend themselves to a double entendre through the evolution of glass and the many ways people experience anxiety, tension and fear.
